My physical servers are used to host internal tools.

And then I have a few VPS around for hosting client tools.

I've considered spinning up a community server for the tristate area (texas Oklahoma Kansas). But I'm wary about moderation (like you mention in your video).

I would really like to, but I think I would host it on something outside the USA due to recent laws. I am grateful for ppl like @stux

It may be that ppl will consolidate too much into one popular server.

But seeing ppl host thier own, like you, and consistently updating it, shows that it is working as it was intended... Decentralized.

Before I joined mastodon, I had considered hosting my own instance.
